City Clerk
About the Role
The City of Eunice is seeking an organized, detail-oriented City Clerk to oversee the city's financial operations, administrative functions, and support to City Council. This role is central to the day-to-day running of city government — working closely with department heads, elected officials, and city staff to keep operations running smoothly and in compliance with municipal requirements.
Job Responsibilities of the Municipal Clerk

Record Keeping — Maintaining official municipal records and documents, ensuring they are accurate and accessible

Compliance — Ensuring all municipal actions comply with local, state, and federal laws

Meeting Coordination — Organizing and recording minutes for meetings of the mayor and board of aldermen, facilitating transparency in governance

Public Interaction — Serving as the point of contact for residents seeking information about municipal services and regulations

Administrative Duties — Assisting in the preparation of budgets and reports, contributing to the overall administration of the municipality
What You'll Do

Monitor operations across all departments within City Government

Oversee and prepare documentation for the annual audit, in coordination with the Assistant City Clerk and Treasurer

Prepare and monitor the annual budget and budgetary reports
-
Administer and oversee the city's finances and investments
-
Perform periodic internal audits of city accounts

Work closely with the Gas Department Manager on utility billing and collection operations
-
Coordinate with the Personnel/Insurance Clerk on city payroll and insurance matters (premiums, claims, renewals, etc.)

Serve as liaison between Department Supervisors and City Officials

Supervise General & Administrative department employees (personnel, insurance, accounting, tax collecting, etc.)

Work with the Assistant City Clerk to prepare for and execute City Council meetings and follow-up actions

Coordinate with the City Attorney on legal matters concerning city business and operations

Coordinate with the City Engineer on matters involving city infrastructure and projects

Perform other duties as assigned by the Mayor and/or City Council
Qualifications

Prior experience in municipal government, public administration, finance, or office management preferred

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail

Comfortable working with budgets, financial reports, and audits
-
Strong interpersonal skills for working across departments and with elected officials

Proficiency with standard office/computer software
Physical Requirements
This is a sedentary role performed indoors. Requires sitting for extended periods, with occasional standing, walking, and reaching, along with regular keyboard use.
Librarian Director
About the Role
The City of Eunice is seeking an organized, community-minded Library Director to lead the library's operations, staff, and strategic direction. This role is central to the day-to-day running of the library — working closely with the Board of Trustees, library staff, and the public to keep the library running smoothly and serving the community well. We welcome candidates with library experience or teaching experience.
What You'll Do

Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to draft and implement plans, policies, and service goals

Manage expenditures and pursue grant opportunities

Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of library staff

Foster a positive work environment for the library team

Direct the acquisition, cataloging, and maintenance of library materials

Ensure engaging programs for patrons of all ages

Serve as the primary public face of the library

Act as liaison to local agencies, civic groups, and the general public
Qualifications
